1993 400E new owner wiring harness questions
I just picked up a '93 400E with only 52k miles on it for $2800 but it needs some work. Right now it doesn't run right and I suspect I'll need to change at least the upper wiring harness but I had a couple questions about that. First, where is the date code tag located so I can check to see if it still has the original eco wiring harness? If so, where is the best place to buy a new one from and is Delphi the only or best brand to get? Do all new harnesses now come good insulation instead of the eco junk? I thought I read somewhere that even some new harnesses still have the eco insulation?

I very likely have an updated harness for you if interested. I will take a look when I hit the shop in the morning to get the number but I know it's been done on my latest project car which happens to be a 1993 400E. Let me know if interested and I will dig into in the morning.

I was thinking about attempting the install myself but was wondering if anyone had any tips on installing this? Any special tools required or helpful hints?
