Hello all,

Recently I went on vacation to LA while I was there I rented a brand new C-class. Nice car yada yada yada. Of a few things I notciced that I really liked about the car was it had one touch sunroof/window open/close. Have you folks heard of an update for the older cars that would allow me to have this function? or how about the function that allows you to close the sunroof and windows with the key. I know this is on the newer 124's but is there a way that I can add it to my '89?

Other than that I really like the 124.

If you hold the key to the lock position in the keyhole everything shoudl close up, my 93 does it, not sure when it was added between 86-93.

 

^^^If you would have read his post, Mr. "Try the Search", you'd see that he knows about the window/key feature, but HIS 89 doesn't do that....

As posted above, the Bergwerks kit seems to be the best option...

i have both an w124 and a w203. the one thing that i wish i could do for my e class is put a rear view mirror with the garage door buttons on them. keyless entry would also be nice... ive looked at some aftermarket products but IMO i was not too impressed with what i saw... a smart key retrofit would be nice.....

owe.. and the center console cup hold would be a nice addition!!

 

I kow this is a really old thread, but I thought I'd share some info that I just recently found. www.unitedautosecurity.com sells a remote keyless entry system along WITH the newer style "flip" type keys integrated into the the remote very similar to the newer style keys. I'm going to order this week. once installed I'll update you guys!

 

Ordered this keyless entry system, yesterday! Hopefully it'll come by the weekend so we can install it. I''ll post some pics of the system once complete.

 

Did you ever get the keyless entry? Outcome? I'm curious if it is worth it.
