Rotor Wouldn't Fit

Well, today i went to install my new rotors that i purchased from BergWerks on my 400E and it came to the point to put the calipers over the rotor. Needless to say, it didn't fit. Not at all. Well i got on the phone with Karl at Bergwerks and he found out that my car was made with MY 92 brakes even though it was produced 7/92, the MY 93 switch over month. He also said that there were 3 different thicknesses of the rotors from the twelve month period surrounding July 92. Just thought that everyone should note that.
P.S. Bergwerks is sending me the new rotors that should fit and were very good about finding out what the problem was(even though it wasn't in the Mercedes database).

Yes, they're a tight fit, even with the correct rotors. On my first MB brake job, I couldn't understand what was happening when I tried to mount the caliper with new pads over my old rotor! There wasn't enough room. Think the fix was to properly clean the accumulation of brake dust from the pad mount slots on the caliper with a wire brush. It really gets packed in there. Make sure you give it good cleaning to allow the pads to seat properly and give the clearance you need to mount the caliper over the rotor.
