New to me 1991 300TE Wagon

Last Week I purchased a 300TE at an auction. In the process of replace and repair wear items.
The seat portion of the rear facing child seat is destroyed. As if it was outside of car and used for something other than its purpose.
Leather is brittle and flakes off at touch.
The rest of the interior is in good shape
Would you recommend replacing or a trip to upholstery shop?
Car is Black with (I’m guessing palomino interior)
Otherwise owner took reasonable care of car
165,000 miles Looking forward to getting it back on road!!
Love this forum
Thank you all

i replaced front lights on a 190E
they were aftermarket and look great
Does anyone have a suggestion for a 300TE? Guessing his would be good
you all may have better suggestions
Thank You!!
There are a few companies that make new replacement seat upholstery ready to install, both in MB Tex vinyl and leather. GAHH of the top of my head, there are also some on ebay. Used seat assemblies and seat parts on ebay and at breakers too, though palomino can be tough to find at times. Looking for a nice pair of palomino visors myself!
Wiith your headlights, there are lots of options. Replacement Euro-spec lights are available, Depo is a brand I see a lot of positive reviews for. If you want to keep your US spec lights, there are replacement parts for those, too. I think Uro has the plastic foglight lens with sealed beam cut outs. Not sure of the quality though.

Original owner must have used the space where the seat rests when not in use for cargo or something
The seat bottom must have been left in the garage or somewhere near the elements as it is completely deteriorated
my daughters would raise cane if I put grandchildren back there anyway
Car is shaping up nicely
Replacing many wear items
Getting parts right now slow so in a couple of weeks I’ll reassess what I should do
My wife wants this car for her kayaks
thank You
