Angry Broken Belt Tensioner

On my way back from Edmonton to Vancouver Island, I decided to give my belt a tightening on my 89 300TE. Well the tensioner was moving smoothly but on the 3rd turn there was a loud pop and sure enough, the lower small housing around the tensioner (where it goes into the block) snapped in two and I recovered one 1/2 of it. It is made out of horrible cheap pot metal. Now the tensioner just spins. Has anyone else had this happen and what do you suggest I do in order to fix it? Cheers for the help!

All you can do is replace the entire tensioner. You should only tighten it to the marks on the device. Don't try to guess.
