Hello everyone. I just changed all my brake lines on my 87 300E. I filled the reservoir over MAX with OEM MB DOT 4 Fluid. I tried to bleed the brakes using the gravity bleed however I had no fluid reaching the rear calipers at all. I started at the rear right, furthest away from the booster. Any idea how I can bleed the air so the fluid moves down. I don't want to pressure bleed from the front because I have heard the seals will not withstand the pressure causing more issues. I looked into the service haven't found anything related to this topics. Also i'm 99% sure there is not proportioning valve. Any advice/help would be great.

Do remember your fill tank for the brake fluid is in two sections .Make sure both ar full before you bleed them off .

Don’t gravity bleed. Pressure bleed.
Buy the Motive pressure bleeder, it’s a great tool.
You can slowly increase the pressure on the bleeder from zero (atmospheric) until you see fluid coming out.
Are you 100% sure your lines and calipers are free of crud?

Hello everyone, the issue I had was with the ABS pump. I replaced the ABS pump with a junkyard replacement and get fluid out of all four wheels. The brakes are amazing again! Save classic Mercedes-Benz. Hopefully this will help someone else out. Symptoms were no fluid at rear, light pedal when braking. Check your Master cylinder and I recommend replacing the master cylinder in general if it is the original. You do no need the Motive Power bleeder you can get away with Gravity bleeding with an assistant.
