How fix E320 wagon tailgate automatic latch?

Why won't My four interior rear dome lights go off ?
Help!
I have 320 wagon
My rear dome lights stay on all the time.
I fixed it-the problem was a defectke (wont shut off) 3 position switch for the rear lights (located on the center console (along with the emergency warning flasher switch) over the radio as the farthest switch on the right out of the 8 switches.
