1,5 litre water into the MB engine...

I have had a long time my W124 MB 200 -88 Dieseling. Tried everything, change everything that can be done. The gas consumption is ok and CO, CO2, O2 and HC too. The last thing i tested was to put 1,5 litres of water as steam into the carburettor. First i was afraid but then i saw it was no problem. Engine must run at 2000-2500rpm, otherwise it stalls.
I put a big white paper under the exhaust to see if i could see some carbon coming out... I didnt see anything - not even a drop!
However the Dieseling disappeared.
The engine is still not working perfect, but at least one problem is gone!
