1990 300E Runs Great -STOPS Runs Great - STOPS
300E was in storage for about 14 months due to nasty heart surgery. Started occasionally. Drained fuel, replaced fuel pumps, filter, accumulator, fuel inlet line. Runs great for about 3 miles and dies. restarts immediately an runs for 2 miles,and dies, progressively shorter distances. ChangedOVP valve same problem.

I would try another fuel pump relay . They do cut out when hot . And also the crank position sensor can show up with the same problems .Check the cps with multi meter for ohm cold .And start.it up , then when it stops you check ohm again .
