M104 Manual Swap
I have gotten my hands on a 1986 300e with the 717.430 5 speed manual transmission. I also have a 1993 300CE coupe. My desire is to move the 5 speed over into the 300CE but keep the M104 3.2 liter engine. I can't seem to find definitive information on what would need to be done. Supposedly the flywheel will need a sensor added to it. And obviously the driveshaft will probably be an issue. Any help?

None of those links you posted address my question. That is why. I have spent hours reading and researching on this site and others. I have yet to find the answer I'm looking for.

What injection is on the 93? If K Jet then no magnet on the flywheel needed. If HFM they a magnet will need to be added to the single mass manual trans flywheel. No ECU issues although if you have upshift delay on the automatic it may light up the CE light. In my 94 disconnection of the delay solenoid resulted in an immediate CE. Solution was to plug the vacuum connection but leave the solenoid electrics connected. I assume you have the complete 5 spd donor car for all the bits, pieces, and trinkets to swap over. Do it! it becomes a completely different car.
