1994 E320 Coupe with ASR, differential oil question
Hi guys, this topic has been raised a few times but the answers seem to be conflicting.
What oil should I use, dino Liqui Moly 85w90 or synthetic like Mobil 1 75w90? Some even use 75w140.
Also does ASR make any difference in this equation? Thanks all.

I am pretty sure you still use regular hypoid fluid. My understanding is ASR is just a traction control which brakes individual wheels that slips to achieve differential lock effect. I use Liquimoly 75W-90 hypoid fluid on my W124 but mine does not have ASR.
