87 300TD Wagon Intercooler and other ideas?
I have a 1987 300 TD Wagon with a couple of issues I am trying to fix em as i go along. I have had it about 3 months and have INSTANTLY fell in love with it. There is a water issue inside underneath of the floor rug on the passenger side i can't seem to find that is getting the better of me. But anyway onto the project questions.
1. I would like to put an intercooler in the car since it is turbo ed this will help with a little more horse power being limited to it being a deisel.
2. I am also hoping that the wheels from a ML320 will fit same bolt pattern 5x112 but I think the offset is a ET50. (Purchased the rims from ebay before doing research here...waiting for 9/15/04 delivery)
3. I am a computer person by trade now... but I also used to do custom installs for a local car audio store. So i am preparing to do an in car PC with a 7 inch touch screen GPS the works. I will take good pics and post on my webspace as I get started.
My question is about the INTERCOOLER has anyone already done this and can tell me which intercooler to buy where to put install it...Or am I gonna be the first.
