I know I should read the manual but what do you or your shops do for w124 minor tune ups? Plugs, rotor, and fluids come to mind but what else? Does anyone time their dist. or adjust the belt tension?

I don't really do much else, just perform the maintenance according to the intervals recommended by the owners manual or by the folk on this forum. While doing the maintenance, make sure to poke around and look for anything that catches your eye and looks suspicious.

I do all the usuall, plugs, oil filters etc about twice a year. Once a year I take to a mechanic to have timing, mixture etc. checked.

Seems to work, performance is good (for a 230), mpg stays at about 25-30.
