Headlights & foglights??
86 300E. I am assuming the "yellowish" lamps that require pulling out on my headlight switch are fog lamps? What is their proper use? Like DRL? Or fog only?
The plastic in front of the lamps, the lens I guess?, is kinda cracked and dingy looking, what can I do to make it look better? Where can I buy a new one?
If I upgrade my headlights to a brighter, more xenon-looking bulb...are those yellow lamps gonna look stupid?? Just looking for ideas here....thanks

The amber inner lights are fog lights on the 300 and 400E, on the 500E they are a pencil-beam driving light.
Depending on what you want to spend, euro headlights are the best option for a great lighting upgrade. They use an H4 bulb and are all glass, one piece and look great.. here's my 1990 300E with euro headlights:

Switch will work the same, except the fogs (as you can see) are no longer amber, they're regular white...
Try http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/mer...=mhlighteclass or your local MB Stealership..
After the headlights, you can do the hyperwhite style bulbs (Piaa Super whites etc) or do an HID conversion..
