Sealant Substitution??

'87 Benz 300E, '94 Mazda Pickup, 03 Jeep Cherokee
Sealant Substitution??
Purchased a '87 300E last month as a project car. Have been tinkering with changing filters, bulbs, general cleaning and learning what a fantastic piece of machinery this car is (1st Benz). Noticed oil film on right side of block and after doing some research figured the probable cause is leaking at the upper and/or lower timing covers. Got a gasket, "O" rings and seals from Performance Products but did not find any of the MB recommended sealants for the metal to metal surfaces. Is there a place on the web to get them or are there appropriate sealants available at the local parts store?
