E320 1995 rough starts 28,000 miles
I need to pump the gas twice, or the car won’t start.
Hi everyone, my ‘95 fuel pump and leaking line replaced, this has not helped difficult starting the engine. I’m using premium fuel always, runs perfectly once she starts. The 30,000 mile Service was done early months ago. The car still will not start up unless I pump it twice.
Is there a gas additive for these engines, or, suggest something I can do to remedy this difficult start issue, short of seeing a mechanic? Also, does pumping the gas a few times make a difference one way or the other, just before turning the ignition? Benz beginner here. Thank you for any help. Bob

Having had a '95 sportline for a couple of decades, I can say that you should check your eco-wiring harness. That is the only component that can detetiorate over time at this low mileage besides fueling issues due to long periods of non usage. I think the fueling check was already suggested.
