Question Coolant Light

Hey, I'm new to this forum, I just recently got my first benz, a 1988 300E with 102,00km on it and noticed that the coolant light will go on and off at random times. Most of the time it's shortly after I start it, but it has done it after it's been on for a while. I check the coolant level and the reservoir is about 1/2 full. Any suggestions would be great.

You need to fill the reservoir up to the line marked "Kaltwasserstand," meaning "cold water level."

Alot of the coolant, oil lamps will flicker when the level of the fluid is right on the verge of being low. Oil will do the same thing as well. Just add some more and everything should be fine.

coolant lever sensor maybe bad. If you unplug the connector to the sensor and the warning light go off ... sensor is bad.
