Antenna alternatives?

AM reception sucks and if my antenna doesn't extend fully, reception is bad. I think it needs lube. What alternatives have you used? I know XM would be great but don't want to change my stereo right now.

I'm kind of curious about this topic too. Since someone broke off the upper antenna seal and the lower and since it is jammed half way.

antenna repair

Antenna is easy to repair, parts are reasonable as well. You do have to lube these things every once in a while and they will wear out over time. The mast is easy to replace and relatively cheap. Follow this link to learn how to replace hirschmann antenna for W124's.
