Will headlights from a 94 w124 fit in an 87 w124? I know the headlights will physically fit the car but the hood is different so not sure if that has a bearing on the swap. I have a 94 parts car with the upgraded lights and my old 87 lights are marginal at best.

 

I have no experience but I have read in forums that is a "No".

I don't think so. The 1994 and 1995 W124 is a different generation from the 1987. The facelift in 1994 changed the grille which also means the shape of the hood around the grille is different. The headlight lens changed design to match this new angle of the new hood/grille shape. As for fitment, maybe it fits, but the headlight has that different angle in the lens and may look strange. Look at some pictures, and once you see the difference you can't "unsee" it.
