CD player changer won’t read CD’s 1995 E320
Hello, I am looking for a CD player for the trunk of my 1995 E320 cabriolet. The player front new, takes in the CD and reads it and says “no cd” on the radio screen. It changes to each level CD 1 through 6 with the same message. I have put the CDs in backwards just to try it and it still won’t play. You can hear the player changing CDs and functioning it’s just said it doesn’t read them. I took it apart one day and cleaned the glass eye reader, with no success.
Does anybody have one for sale that is working properly? If not could you recommend where I could have it looked at and repaired? Pompano Beach, FL

Hi - If I remember right I still have the CD changer from my 1995 sedan. It's an Alpine changer but I am almost certain it came with the car when I bought it new from the dealer. It may have arrived from Germany without the changer and was installed by the dealer (Benzel-Busch in Englewood, NJ) after the fact. If you're interested let me know and I will get you more information on it. But please note I have not played a CD in that thing since about 2003 or 2004.

I appreciate your reply, there’s a good chance the same year could match I’m told the cars were pre-wired, for the customer to decide on options.
