Hi,
Does anyone know if I will need to remove the front springs in order to change the front shock absorbers and mounts?

Nope theres enough droop you just have to disconnect the brake hose anchor to give yourself enough travel to remove the strut. It's all very intuitive and you can eyeball everything, theres no need for a guide. Make sure to use Bilstein/Sachs.
