Please tell me if this is worth it.
Hi, I am new to the Benz world but by no means new to the Euro world. I am an avid VW tuner. My soon to be father –in-law came across a friends 1992 E300 for only $500. He then found out that it needed a new head gasket, so he went ahead and go the work done. He is offering to sell me the car for the price he has paid plus the money he had to shell out for the work. So the total of the car comes to $3500. Now my question is: is this worth me buying? My main concern is that I am throwing money down the drain. I already own to Vw’s and would use this car to drive around town, or if its worth it to cell. The car has 140K on it, very clean condition, gold color. I believe that it is the 3.0 engine. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I just really want to know if it’s a good deal or if I’m gonna loose money with it. Thanks. Steve

Good Deal
I think it's a good deal providing the head job was done correctly. I would also make sure before purchasing the car that the AC system and Transmission is working good. If the car seems to be in tact you could sell the car for almost double what you paid.
