'95 e320 - what to look for?
Looking at a '95 e320 with 90K miles, asking $11K (a little high I think).
Has recently replaced: aux. cooling fan relay / convenience feature relay / right door speaker / HFM wiring harness / differential seals / head gasket. Seems well maintained at dealerships.
Questions: what should I look for, ask about?
Thanks!

Even if I have to replace the evaporator for $3000.00, the wiring harness for $1000.00, and the head gasket for $1000.00, my 1995 E320 will still be an awesome car. I am not looking forward to the bill, but I can take it if I have to. My car is now 10 years old and everyone still thinks I have the nicest car in the parking lot. New $30,000.00 cars are not any better than my 10 year old W124, so if I spend a few thousand it shouldn’t really make me crazy.
If I just purchased a 1995, and everything needed to be replaced immediately, then that might make me crazy. I would have the car checked at an independent mechanic that knows all about the W124. I would just want to be sure that I was not buying someone else’s troubles. If down the road, I had to fix some things, I think I would sill be a very happy owner.
