1992-1995 Differential Pinion Question
I’m working on rebuilding a 1992 E500E diff with 2.82 ratio to slip into my 1995 E420. All numbers match except the carrier itself (housing, bearings, etc.)... the questions I’m having difficulties finding answers to are:

- does the pinion use a crush sleeve and if so, what’s the part number?
- what is the initial torque on the pinion nut to set initial preload?
- what should the preload torque be set at when rotating pinion with my preload torque wrench?
- what should the final pinion preload read once carrier is installed?
