heated Seat Switch on the Fritz!
Hello everyone, one little question, its full blown winter up here in edmonton alberta so of course ive been using my heated seats constantly. When ive been driving for atleast a half hour the 2 red lights on the seat switch start flashing, do i need to be concerned about that? anyone have a simular problem? thanks every one, berrrrrr i hate winter!!!! so does my benz

The heated seat switch light will flash when there is a very high amps. demand and when the alternator can not come out with enough amps. to maintain battery condition.
It typically happens when the heater is in full swing (high blower speed), wipers are running. read defroster, lights on, radio on and the engine is close to idle speed (low alternator output).
Switch some accessories off, turn off the seats and turn it on again. The lights will not flash.
The alternator can not feed all electrical accessories at the same time when tuning at idle.
