Brake fluid leak??
Got home this afternoon to find (what I think is) brake fluid appearing under the left [rear] side of my '94 E320 Cabriolet. Specifically, the accumulation of maybe an ounce of [red] fluid is on the bottom moulding in front of the driver's side rear wheel well, just behind the jack insert cover. And, there's a splatter pattern underneath--some on the muffler, some forward of the wheel on the undercarrage.
'Sides goin' to my mechanic 1st thing Monday AM, any chance there's anything I can do about it any sooner?
Advice, warnings etc will all be appreciated!

Brake Fluid
If your having a brake fluid leak you should be able to tell by looking at your brake fluid reservoir. That would be one sign if it's low. Another sign would be your brake pedal having more travel to it when you apply your brakes. I bet you what your seeing is either transmission fluid or power steering fluid.

Convertible top fluid leak?
So, as it turns out, the leaking fluid is from the left side, convertible top ram. That's (I suppose) good news that it's not the trans or brakes. The bad news is that the part alone was quoted at ~$350 plus at least 2 hours labor!
Can't seem to find the part listed on any of the MB parts companies online. My [independent] service center says the part is only at MB directly.
Whadda ya think?

try calling some of the mercedes salvage yards. Potomac German Auto is one that might have it. Look them up on the web and call them as they don't have all the inventory on the website.
