Throttle Gurus, need help

Can somebody tell me where is WOT Switch, is it different than the kickdown switch??

Is the throttle doing mechinical function (like in carburator cars) or doing electrical, if so then it doesn't matter how much do you open the throttle, this is ECU who will decide to send the amount fuel to the cylenders based on RPM and other things(that i don't know)

The kickdown switch (under the gas pedal) is not a WOT switch...though it seems like it acts as so. 'Kicks down' the tranny into a the next lower gear and holds it up close to redline as long as the switch is engaged.

And the accelerator is electronic..at least on my 500E it is.
