For the past 2 months, there has been something wrong with my corner lights. I finally got fed up with it today when I got pulled over for not using my turn signals. 2 months ago, I replaced my stock corner bulbs for some new amber bulbs that came along with the clear corners I bought. For some reason, after putting them in, I noticed that they both turn on, but both my turn signal arrows on my meters turn on along also. The rear orange "hazard" part of the rear lamps also turn on. When turn the knob either rigth or left on my turn signals, my hazards start blinking. If I use the regular hazard button, it works properly also.

After trying to experiment with bulbs, I have not come to a conclusion to this light bulb mystery. Today, I bought myself a pair of PIAA Xtreme White Bulbs 1156 for my corners. Unfortunately, my lights still act the same with the turn signals not working, etc.

::::PIAA Bulbs that I bought::::
(BTW, they work very well. Very white and bright. I plan on getting the headlight bulbs also.)

So my has anyone come across this before? Or am I the only crazy guy over here.

One last thing. Do these metal things make a difference for the corner lamps?

One metal thing.

Two metal things.

Does anyone know how many metal things the stock one has? Because if it has to be two, then I have a good idea on what is wrong with it. The bulbs i've been buying had only one metal thing on it, including the PIAA's I just bought today. They also had the same bulb with the two metal things.

Thanks guys.

The US-model W124s use those dual-filament bulbs in their corner lights. One filament lights up when you put on the parking lights, and the other one is for the turn signal.

So yes, you need the two-terminal ones...
