I have a fuse that keeps keeps blowing, its a #8. I apologize in advance, i am handy and if i read enough or watch enough videos i can fix pretty much anything. I was wondering if anyone here can help me identify this fuse, what it does? I am guessing it is tide to the battery or starter. The moment i put a new fuse, it sparks and blows. It ate thru the battery. I got a new battery and dont want to connect it until this is fixed. Any help with the name of the fuse or how to fix it would help. This is a 1994 e420, has a V8 (m119). By looking other m119 images, they dont seem to have that fuse. Does that car have had some aftermarket stereo system? Can be that positive wire for amps in trunk(or somewhere) is loose and touching metal - you have to do some digging. Use multimeter, look if that positive wire is grounded to body.

I took the fuse out since it popped and i removed the battery to avoid any damage. Stereo is stock. I did unplug the amps since the fuse that controls the windows and radio keeps blowing as well.
Try to find if any power wire is grounded in those circuits, if you find that then start digging and hopefully you find the short circuited wire.
Amps were aftermarket?
