1994 e320 cabriolet interior lights
i recently bought an impeccable 1994 e320 cab 90 k miles.
repaired a few little things like a light switch .
seat belt presenter works on the drivers side, need to look at the passenger side
when I have time for it.
drove her a few days ago at night , not any interior light came on.
checked the overhead panel, switch was set for operating on door opening.
reading lights work when using the switches , apparently the passenger door opening does operate the interior lights.
any suggestions ?
does a1994 have a slow dimming option for the interior light ?
additionally no floor footwell lighting, also door open red light in the door does not work, is this how the car was build ?
no seat belt buzzer or warning in the dash , possibly related to the buzzer control, so. no interior light on opening?

I found that the door jam switch is the trigger for not only the interior lights but also the seat belt presenters. When ordering replacements be aware there are two different models of switches...one that only operates the lights and one that operates both lights and SBPs. I initially ordered the incorrect switch. I'm no help on your other problems. Good luck!
