Looking for trunk lid upgrade for 87 124...

I would like to update the looks of the trunk lid on my 87 124. I understand there is an after market panel that is between the tail lights.

Does anyone have a link I can source this panel? RT

There are three parts to the Mod.

The filler panel itself isn't cheap at £83 +Vat in the UK A124 758 0346 (remember this is for Euro plate style not US)

Next there is a replacement metal strip which replaces the one at the bottom of the bootlid. This part # I cant seem to find at the moment but if you look up the above part number on the fische, it will be obvious which one it is. Cost is £15 (I'll try and dig the number out anyway)

The last bit is some clips (6 off) Part # A000994 40 60 Price = peanuts.

The spraying cost me £40 so all in, it was about £150 Inc.

So there is a panel that can be purchased!

I have been scouring the web looking for such a panel but have come up empty. I did locate a whole 94-95 trunk lid for $165 new, but would have to paint the it and transfer all hardware which is OK, but if all I had to do is a panel and paint basically, I'd rather go that route.

Who is the supplier?

Trunk filler panel part number off my 300CE.... 124 750 03 37

I am not sure if it is the same for the regular sedan trunk lid, but I suspect it is.

W124's
I called a local Dealership and it'll cost 142 for me with the autonation discount. That's still expensive. Without it, it would be around 200 something.
