Canada spec driving lighting
According to some discussions I've read somewhere, my 2000 E320 can be set to automatically turn on the low beams and tail lighting when shifting into drive - a feature required for Canadian cars.
My local dealer's service manager and mechanic thinks that this feature can be turned on and off via the user programming controls from the steering column. I've looked in the owners manual and don't find any such thing.
They don't have any idea about whether it can be done from a diagnostic computer or set-up computer that they might have. (They aint so suffistucated 'round my nekk of the woods).
What does someone here think?

I've got a Canadian E55. The lights can be made to turn on or not when the car is placed in drive. I think they have to do it with their diagnostic computer but I could be wrong.
