2002 E320 Wagon
Angry Are E320's Magnets???

We just got our 2002 E320 Wagon on Saturday and have already been hit in the rear twice. Fortunately just scratches from those front license plate screws.

Car is brilliant silver.

I just can't believe that people are so out to lunch!!!

Cursed

It appears that my 2000 E430 Sport is cursed. The second day I had it a DOOFUS put a ding right above left rear wheel. About a year later, an 84 year old man backed into it at the recycling center. Claimed he didn't see it. No damage, thank God.

Latest, at Road Atlanta in April a drunk backed his huge motor home into the left rear corner of the quarter panel. Did about $600 damage. He paid for it. Body shop did great job fixing it.

I had a 95 E420 for 5 years and it didn't have as much as a door ding. The *** that bought it from me turned it up on its side 6 weeks after buying it from me.

I ALWAYS park waaaaaaaaaay out in mall, store, restaurant parking lots.

This thread is hilarious! Why? Well, today I'm driving home, and I look over at a local organic food market very near my house - the entire back row of parking was filled with Mercedes vehicles..none of which were parked next to each other. The E class owners seem to be the worse, as there were more E classes parked in the boonies than any other Benz model.

Then there are the punk kids who damage cars for kicks.

I was parked in a lot just outside of Philly, getting driving directions on the Tele-Aid...when I hear and feel a "bang!" right next to me. Turns out these kids had pushed a shopping cart into the car. It was too bad I've got an overactive conscience and sense of moral ethics, otherwise I'd have mowed 'em down.

Angry

It's funny, you know? No matter how careful I am about parking in the end space and leave a lot of room for my car not to get dinged, it still gets dinged. I have two dings on my passenger side door, maybe from the times I backed into the space and people park on my passenger side, and one ding on the lower panel of the rear driver's side door. I have no idea how they got there, but I see people in parking lots all the time open their doors into other people's cars like it's nothing...

I was a passenger in a co-worker's brandy new Audi once when we pulled into a bank lot. As I was sitting in the car waiting, a sedan pulls in next to me, and the woman gets out of the driver's side and smacks her door right into mine. I just stared in disbelief for a few seconds. She closed her door, made a comment to her passenger, then they both gave me a dirty look as they pulled back out of the spot.
The dirty look made me stare in disbelief even longer. My coworker now had a nice, obvious paint-scrape to show for it (they had left before I could assess the damage)

In times like these, I have to force myself to imagine living a few years in a real-life episode of Oz, bunking with Adabizzi (a prison drama for anybody without HBO).
else I might do something stupid and wind up on the shorter end of the stick.

One menorable experience was coming out to the car in a mall parking lot to find this old, brown stretch limo shoe-horned into a regular spot. Since the car was obviously too long to fit, the driver had compensated by running his bumper about 3" into the front of mine. Luckily, mine was just plastic and snapped back into shape, but there was always a discolored scar ever after.
I can't comment on the general condition of the limo however.
