2002 E320 Wagon
Front License Plate
Just took off the front license plate on my 2002 E320 Wagon and noticed that they used plastic screws which leaves a raised surface on the bumper.
What is the normal way of getting rid of this un-sightly look?
Thanks again!!!

Do a search and look for bumper holes or license holes. I had same problem. Went to AutoZone and bought interior trim tabs. Stuck them in holes, lightly sanded them, and painted them body color. Still kinda ugly, but beats holes. Would like to fill holes, but too expensive.

The composite material of the bumper has been stretched from the self tapping screws. I used a 5/16" drill bit and "carefully" twisted it inside the hole. This cut off most of the plastic that made the small hill or bump. Use a sharp bit and only twist by hand with very little pressure. Too much and you will create a crater in the opposite direction. I then used some two part epoxy clay to fill in the hole. Finishing it off with a little touch up paint.

I sympathize - the W210 front end was not made for a chunky US license plate - ugly! I was fortunate enough to get my vehicle from Indiana where they don't install front plates. I keep my Illinois plate in the cabin on the passenger side/gear box well just in case I get pulled over.
Good luck.
