radio problem
) my radio won't come on. all it say is code...what should I do
It's a 5 digit code, and if you punch in the wrong code three times, it will lock you out for 15 minutes, punch in the wrong code again three more times and your locked out for 24 hours.
There should be a card, about the size of a credit card that has the radio code on it in your paperwork/owners manual pouch. If not, the dealer can look up the code for you. If the dealers code does not work (i.e. the radios been replaced) you will have to pull the radio from the dash and look up the code using the serial number on the radio.
Not trying to freak you out, it is what it is, those crazy German engineers. Thanks to them and their craziness, MB radio's are rarely stolen.
Good Luck..
Good Luck..
Fiber optic cables, integrated phones, flip-down tape decks, multi-function steering wheels, and Bose speakers not withstanding.
I do love the car, don't get me wrong. I just can't understand why the radio has to have more technology than what it takes to launch a manned-moon mission, & it still has no input for XM, Ipod, or a display that tells you the station name and title. My new Tahoe has ALL of that (except a tape player) plus is dual source with a 6 disc in-dash changer.
MBZ missed the boat with their audio. If it were any more obsolete, it would have come with a Betamax VCR in the glovebox.
