Pics.

After installing and set the car´s height a little lower , it was too low, the lorinser bumper hitted everywhere. Still had 2 more centimeters to lower the car.

Had to raise it up about 1,5cm front and rear.

Performance: Nothing to do with my old Bilstein Sport kit. It just feels like a normal car now 5 star rating. It´s still set to the lowest damping force.

so, how do you lower the front? I don't see a threaded section. Is it on top:

Man they look nice and from the sounds of it, very practical and adjustable too - congrats LorinserLV ......I wished I knew about these before I replaced my shocks

Yes, the threaded piece which controls the height stays on top of the spring, those purple pieces.

To control the height, you have to remove the springs and adjust

So it works like an "adjustable spring pad".

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the proper definition of coilovers? I'd always thought they are systems where the shocks pass thru the springs, often with the adjustment made on the shocks. Here's a definition I found on the web:
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=Txt id=MainText>

"A coilover is an automobiledevice. It consists of a shock absorber with a coil spring encircling it. This provides for optimal damping without torsional loads. Many coilovers are adjustable for ride height as well using a simple threaded perch similar to a nut. Note that coilovers are not the same as struts - the former are not designed as wheel-location devices, while the latter are integral to this function."

So technically, could these still be considered "coilovers"?

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I completely agree with you

I guess people are just using the term COILOVER for any system that changes height

But it says coilover at the KW german site hehehehe

Whitey, put it, u wont regret :P

Does this solve the problem with not being able to lower a 4Matic?
