Service B and 3rd brake light - 2000 E320
I am scheduled for Service B on my 2000 E320. What should this service cost? Is it necessary and have any of you used MB shops besides the dealer to perform this service. I was quoted $1500 by my dealer.
Also, anyone have instructions on chnaging the 3rd brake light on an E320 Wagon? I was quoted $180 just for the bulb. Can this be sourced elsewhere for less?

1500 just for Service B? This sounds quite a bit high to me. Did they give you a list of what they would do? The only parts I know of for that are Oil, Oil Filter, Charcoal Filter, Particle Filter, Wiper Refill. Figure $300 for parts..
