Crystal Clear Projectors?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33710

Browsing around e-bay and saw these. My lenses are a little foggy and they look pretty sweet. Any feedback or recomendations? Thanks

Looks like standard Taiwan issue. Low asking price but steep shipping...puts it
about par for the others selling same. Anemic light output. Poor beam. If you
have a modicum of pride, replace the projector glass lens with Hella ($150). If
you have desire for decent lighting, replace/retrofit whole projector assembly
with quality unit ($200+). Getting and installing this unit, as-is, will get you
the cool factor......until night falls and you switch on the lights. Then you'll
think ".....WTF?!...."

It's like deja vu! When I replaced my '94 BMW 540i with my current '99 W210 E320, I initially missed some of the bells/whistles that the aging Bimmer had.

But one function was not the projector style, halogen, headlights. When I got my W210, the first time at night, it was totally different. So much brighter over a larger area.

The 540 projectors were so bad, many owners replaced the low beam with conventional style low beam headlights (they were 5 3/4" round lights). I never did because I liked the "look" of the projector lights better.

So now, as I read more posts, the non-Geman made projectors seem to bring back bad memories of the BMW past. I initially wanted the W211 style lights, but now I am holding off. The price of the lights, then to upgrade to the proper projector, is it worth all the $$$? For right now, I am still holding off.
