Do those filters really work? HELL YES!!!
ARVID, great tip on cutting off the tabs. I used a pair of dikes (wire cutters) and snipped off about half of the tab. Goes in and out easy now. It will make future filter service a whole lot smoother.

Thats ironic, I chamged out my Dust & Charcoal filters yesterday too. My dust filters werre really filthy like your pics. I even had a couple of dried leaves on them. The hardest part was getting the glove box out.
