Access to Cigarette lighter wiring

The plug on the back of the cigarette lighter on my 2000 E320 has come off. I can see it down through a hole in the shell under the ashtray (when ashtray is removed), but I can't work with it.

Can someone please help me to get access to the back of the cigarette lighter area so I can plug it back in.

Thanks.

Well, Phooey....

Never mind. I wen't right out, pulled the black ring around the shift lever, pulled up from the front of the wood panel around the shifter, and voila... I found the two little screws that hold in the ashtray assembly. It is now out. I had to start the car, put it in neutral and listen to the key beep while I was withdawing the ashtray shell, but I did it.

Sorry for crying for help before thinking this thing through. I love this car.
