Blinking side view mirrors

Does anyone know if the e class 2002 blinking side view mirrors will fit on a 1997 e class?

If I get the shell will my mirrors and interior hardware fit and attach to the car without any modifications?

It's an interesting idea

I don't know of anyone who's done that, I can appreciate why you'd want to.

You might try posting over at benzworld, too, and contacting some salvage yards; often they have cross-reference charts to see what will fit other years.

Assuming you can install the mirror and the remote-adjustment is the same, I think it would also be tricky to accomplish the wiring feat.

If you check on eBay there are some folks who are selling led inserts for the mirrors (such as has become popular with late-model SUVs); that looks pretty cool and if it would work you'd have a one-of-a-kind benz.

Good luck and enjoy the ride,
Greg

The blinker mirror cover from the 2000+ W210 will NOT fit on the 96 - 99 directly. You have to replace the whole frame and cover. The new mirrors mount on just the same as the older ones. You have to rewire the mirrors and add 2 wires on each side to supply the blinker with power. Tap in to the rear tail light directional signal in the wire trays on each side under the door sills.

I upgraded mine on my 96. Many people have done this upgrade. Do a search on here or on benz world for Blinker Mirrors. There are quite a few posts on the subject.
