Trunk Emblem without the circle
I saw this '99 W210 in front of me tonite, the star emblem on the trunk is missing the "0" or the ring around the star.
It kinda look cool....I was able to chat with the lady, she said the circular part of the emblem broke and she kinda like it like that.... I do too....Sorry I have NO picture.....maybe someone can photoshop the rear emblem without the ring... so others can see what I'm talking about.
I will like to hear people opinions if they will do it to their car OR not.
And also How can it be done.

Pretty easy to buy a new (or reuse old one) emblem and cut off the ring portion (jig saw, hack saw, sazall etc) then file smooth to desired look. You can install as is and have unchromed areas, or have emblem rechromed. You can then reattach with two sided tape or silicone adhesive.
Maybe I will make one for grins......

I've seen a couple of Benz's like that, with just the 3-pronged star missing the ring.
I thought they looked odd, but it could grow on you.
I don't think I'll try it, but it might be worth to some who want an unique look !

I had some kid trying to pry off the emblem on my old C-class and ended up breaking the ring. Didnt have time to replace it so left it that way. Got a lot of questions by people driving by. They thought it was cool, too. 
I kept it when I traded the car in. Don't know if I want to use it again though.
