Great lookin C6 u got there Rich, but why Willwood can I ask?
Davey...take some snap shots when you do pay Karlson a visit.

From one brotha to anotha...thanks!

Why the Wilwoods??....cuz SIZE does matter, hahaha :p The Wilwood Superlite 6 fronts & Pro Series rears are 14" rotors at each corner, the pistons in the front calipers are staggered in size - the front 4 are the same diameter, but the back 2 are bigger, to compensate for the fluid pressure drop that occurs across the caliper. Bigger pistons farther away from the fluid entry-point evens out the clamping force. Wilwood knows Corvette performance braking, as a supplier for NASCAR, SCCA and other race series, my kit was engineered for the C6 and not an off-the-shelve part. Furthermore, Brembo's (14"x13.4") and StopTech's (14") require 3/4" spacers and longer wheel studs, my Wilwoods uses only a 1/8" spacer in the rear.

Whats happening with ya bro? No wurries Rich...I'm sure Karlsson will post his own anyway.

Hey congrats, truly amazing car...or should I say carS you have now. What new benz did you end up with anyway?

Heard good things about the ******* - just thought you might have gone more mainstream...but then, that's not our Rich eh? Just out of interest, are those Super Lites any lighter than comparable brakes (say Brembos)? I'd hate to upgrade to massive brakes (one would really need ) only to find performance has suffered somewhat, know what I mean?

Strange. With these pics, your rear doesnt appear to be as severe as the earlier closeups. My rears with Eibach springs and the thickest spring pad used to be a bit lower than yours, which appeared to be disproportionately lower than the front, at least visually. Solved the problem with an additional half a pad - negative camber fixed and the car rides much better.

Whitey - One of the pictures was when my car was at an angle. It was tucked in more when I first dropped the car. Seems like it is leveling out. Is that wierd? I also want my front maybe 1/4-1/2 inch lowered more any suggestions its on #1 spring pad already.

Alexbenz - Where can I buy the reflector replacement? Im down to give it a try.

What Kit you guys think I should go with? Wald ex/v2, lorinser, brabus, amg, carlsson? I really like the wald v2, but I am worried about drivability. Any suggestion would be great. I would like the best fitment kit also.

on the kit you can do the wald 2 like what the "godfather" had on his old car before he crashed it.....or i'd do a brabus kit if i were you.........

on the side markers you can either smoke them yourself or have it painted at a bodyshop with the ones you have or you the other place that sells them it evosport........

Do you have a hook up on the wald kit? Lowest quoted price I got was 1900$. Also how do you smoke out the lights yourself I thought it was some type of chemical dye?

Hmm, not sure if those wheels would go with either of Alex's recommendations or anything other than a Lorinser kit for that matter. If driveability is an issue, the Wald V2 would definitely not be appropriate. Wald Ex would be a little better as it has less of a "ground effect". If you really wanted to go low, I would suggest a less aggressive kit made of ABS rather than fiberglass for durability......the AMG one being the only one that comes to mind...and styling is not all that great.

As I am not a great fan of cutting springs, my only suggestion for lowering the front further would be a new suspension system - perhaps the Cupkit or Eibach +#1 pads all round might be to your taste, or the new KW "Coilovers" (but not sure what the quality is like) for added flexibility in height and dampening characteristics.

Karlson's thread is getting way off topic now...lol

Ive driven a acura integra 4 door slammed with kit. Barely fit your foot under the side skirts and front and rear bumper. I drove his car for a week without any driving problems. I even drove it to la to vegas. If I didnt have any problems with this car. Would I have problems with the wald kit? Or it will hang even lower then that?

Here's a good pic that demonstrates how much the Wald V2 overhangs with The Godfather's old ride (aka The Doctor) using Cupkit, if I remember correctly:

Actually no, they are Dronell C-15's - which have one less spoke than the Carlssons, far lighter and has a mirror-like Diamond cut finish, unlike the !/16 Ultra lites which are just polished/machined.

Bad pic, but the difference in number of spokes and finish is quite evident when u have them next to each other (1/16 UL on the CLS behind me).

Is there anyway I can get those in the US? Those are JDM wheels only right? How much did you pay for it without tires? USD.

LOL that setup was a B I A T C H to drive!! It was LITERALLY 2 inches at most from the ground all around, except the rear. I could only get one or maybe 2 people in the car at most!
