night illumination
According to my manual my car,1997 e 420, is supposed to have the feature that leaaves the lights on for you at night after you lock the car and then turn itself off in a preset amount of time. This has never worked in 2 years I have had the car nor do I see how to activate it . HELP ME .

Dealer Activation?
My 2001 has that feature, but it must be activated by the dealer.

It depends on where you are. In some countries the night illumination is not activated.

It also only works if the headlights are turned on/off using the headlight switch and not just relying on the daytime running light feature to turn the headlights on and off when the ignition is turned on...if you have daytime running lights there.
