E280 V6 1999 Advantgarde 18in AMG's

Missing

Hi Guys we are still having problems with our E280 slowing down it feels like the rev limiter kicked in and the car slows to 50 mph we then have to stop and turn her off and restart then she goes again no problems...has anyon else had this problem...taking her in next Thursday as it gets a bit much having to stop on the Motorway every 10 miles are so...please can you help...

Ask the dealer to check your MAF (the mass air flow sensor).

That's always a common problem on almost any car when it feels like you have a lack of power.

cheers for that..it feels like the gases are not getting away you put your foot down and it goes slower ease your foot off it picks up again...I think you could be right cheers

You can sometimes get the MAF to repeat that buy tapping it with a screwdriver lightly.

Thanks guys it was the MAF sensor we had the car back and it drives so much better can take it into the redline now and she takes off....we also had a service total cost £814.00 not happy with the price but it has transformed the car...as it should be now fastasoot
