noise

Maybe someone is familiar with the noise, 2001 e55 , when i drive up my drive way, the right side, i hear a clunk, Now i never hear it driving or hitting pot holes, just going up my sidewalk driveway

More then likely is your shock part of your suspension that is loose. Everytime you hit your hear it clunking right? If not It might be one of the motor mounts on your car. I suggest you get it check out right away.

Push down on the front end on each side and listen if the lower control arm bushings.

yes when i push down on the side i hear the noise from, i hear the clunk. Is it my control arm bushings? mind you i only have 28,000 miles on my car. can it be something that needs to be tightened? are the control arm bushings very costly?

Either one of the shock or bushing is toasted. Happened to mine too
