Is that a E55 Bumper or and W210 Sport bumper? If it's a Sport bumper was it a pain to have it cut for the muffler?

I have an 01 W210 Sport and want to install a new muffler and was debating whether to have my bumper cut to accomodate the muffler or buy a E55 bumper.

that was your car before? did you have a carlsson front bumper on the front?

Lapse in memory again Alex? LOL I thought we went thru this before when you posted his (ex-) car and said it was your "twin". Yes, that was the one with the Carlsson bumper and AMG sides and rears plus quads.

 

Thanks for the comps Blackfield. Mine's nowhere near as hardcore as some of the others here. As for "inexpensive", hmmmm, car modding is definitely not inexpensive but you should do it in stages if on a budget, as with most of us.

My suggestion is to go with some nice wheels first, that IMO has the greatest visual impact.

You can lower your car slightly but inexpensively by using thinner spring pads but ultimately, you can't go wrong with a good set of lowering springs.

For upgrading to facelifted side mirrors and rear lights u may be lucky and find some parts from the wreckers. The rear lights are a must to get rid of those "eggs" in the back. Warning: Slight modding of the light is required to make it work, but easy (well documented in the archives here).

An exhaust is a good visual and performance enhancement, and to do these inexpensively, watch out on ebay and the classifields section here and other Benz forums.

Other suggested mods, that are less noticeable, include bigger brakes - the best bang for your buck, probably being a set of AMG C32 brakes and K&N filter to enhance performance a little.
