Steering wheel not in zero W 210 1999 E 240

Hi
I have a 1999 E 240 W 210. The steering whell are not in zero when I drive straight onwards . I like to move the wheel one or two notch to left.
The car have air bag in the senter of the wheel. Can i do this myself ?
If yes, How did I do it? Do I need some spesial tools?

Yes, with the right sized torx screw driver/wrench (T27) to remove the airbag - screws behing the wheel and an allen key/driver (10mm I seem to remember) to remove the wheel - bolt in the middle of the wheel, once the airbag is remeoved. Pull off and slip it back in at the correct angle and u'll be fine. May need a breaker bar to leverage the allen key to get the sucker loose. Remember not to have the key in the ignition.

Thank you Whitey.
I will try to do it. I have take of the wheel in older MB, without air bags, and they have 10 mm allen or 19 mm nut.
Are the some electric connection inside the wheel pad for the air bag?
I hope the are safe to remove. I dont like to get a bag in my face .

Regards
Arvid

Torx T27 (x2) behind the wheel for the airbag. Two wires going into the airbag, one for the horn one for the airbag - pull them off.

10mm Allen bolt (x1) in the middle - quite hard to unscrew but it is doable. Just do not have your key in the ignition and you will be fine with the airbag blowing up.

If The steering wheel is NOT centered..remove it and check to see if the Lines on the steering wheel and the steering column match..they should...If Not have the car aligned...To Align the car ( The Correct way) they center the steering Then Align the car

Thank You Whitey.I have made it. Everything you say was correct.
Two notch was to much. One notch was 100 %. OK. My car/steering wheel viberat when I drive 35-40 mph. I have balanced the tires sevral times, new tires, new bracke rotor, check the propeler shaft, and the last check was the lower front control arm. The front rubber bussing was very loose , so I change it. But the new on was not better than the old one. Loose/flabby . I have not Align the car after the new bussings. My be I do?
The steering wheel viberat in the same way. My car have 71000 km on the clock.
