Where is Mass Air Flow Sensor Located

Where is Mass Air Flow sensor Located on the 2000 E430 . I have the CEL on and I would like to clean the MAF . Pictures would be nice if possible . Thanks

..if it's in the same place as my c240, it's in the middle, at the back of the engine, under the fancy air box, wich on mine, just pops straight up, and off. The boot that sticks out of the air box attaches to the mouth of the MAF.

It is after the airfilter in the air intake path. You might want to have the codes read before you jump in and clean the MAF sensor. It could be other things and until you read the codes, you won't know if that is the problem.

That is good advice. and consider that there are certain chemicals, and procedures for cleaning those anyway.

I just read the codes . The codes were P0170 and P0173

Fuel trim malfunction...All Data(CD rom shop manual) shows probable cause to be an intake leak, injector leak, diaphram pressure regulator (fuel pressure regulator at intake), or engine wear. Same for both codes. I'd take it to the doctor, those are tuff to diagnose at home. The MAF will set it's own codes, that point directly at it.
