I believe someone did post a pretty detailed look plus pictures in changing the cabin filter..i also just changed mine..but made hell a lot of difference..the filter was about US50 though here in malaysia.

However, you'll start to see that servicing and upkeeping a merc can be very expensive..regardless what service interval comes up..:P

I don't know where you live, but over $500 for service B is steep. Dealerships only costs around $300.

Service A & B

You can do most of those services by yourself. Call your MB dealers and ask what things that will be performed (sometime they list them on their websites). What you find is most things are check this...check that... and you can check them. Look into what they will REPLACE, then go to an independent MB garage and ask them to do them same thing. You will save a lot of money that way. I change oil and spark plugs, I let them flush radiator every 3 yrs or 20K miles, I ask them change trans oil every 60K miles... That's ALL I have to do and save a lot of money. I have '96 E320 for almost 5 yrs, bought it used, and I've spent less than $500 so far

Service B is around $450.00 at MB stealerships here in Houston.

You can probably get it done cheaper at indy shops.

IT's basically a glorified oil change.

You can do the cabin filters yourself, really easy. Do a search on this forum.

Some places replace the windshield viper rubber too.
